I am pleased to invite you to join me and other experts in the college-going process for “Straight Talk About College Admission.” This series of in-depth monthly teleseminars about timely issues in the college planning process will take you behind the scenes and inside the logic of the selective college admission process to help you find and get into the colleges that make the most sense for you. I am offering two program tracks. You may choose to register either for a multi-session package or for individual teleseminars.
“Getting Started”— An orientation to the college search and selection process geared to students who are beginning to explore their college options with a focus on self-reflection and finding the best college fit. This track includes two semesters. The first begins in May of the Sophomore Year and extends through October of the Junior Year in high school; the second runs from November through April of the Junior Year. Topics covered in the twelve, 50-minute seminars include:

- Tips for Getting the Most from Campus Visits
- Addressing the Affordability Question
- The Role of Testing and the Value of Test Prep
- How to Find the Best College Fit
- What Colleges Want—Inside the “Hidden Agendas”
“Getting In”— A series of conversations that focus on the college admission process with the objective of putting the student in the best possible position to achieve winning outcomes. This track also includes two semesters. The first begins in May at the end of the Junior Year and extends through October of the Senior Year of high school; the second runs from November through April of the Senior Year. Topics covered in the twelve, 50-minute seminars include:
- Tips for Getting the Most Out of the Summer Months
- Strategies for Developing a Short List of Colleges
- To ED or Not ED: The Pluses and Minuses of Early Decision
- Tips for Writing a Winning College Essay
- Inside the Financial Aid Application Process
- You’re In—Now What? Assessing Options and Awards ($$)
